In a major development aimed at boosting attendance and simplifying travel for football lovers, CAF announces free e-visas for supporters planning to travel to Morocco for the highly anticipated AFCON Morocco 2025 tournament. The decision, unveiled jointly by the Confederation of African Football and the Local Organising Committee on Friday, marks a significant step toward promoting accessibility and enhancing the fan experience during the competition scheduled from 21 December 2025 to 18 January 2026.

According to a post made by @centregoals on X, the new policy offers a major advantage to fans from countries that ordinarily require a visa before entering Morocco. Under this arrangement, travellers who secure their electronic visas through the YALLA app will now obtain them at no cost, removing a financial barrier and encouraging more participation from across the continent and beyond. The organisation explained that the announcement aligns with rapidly increasing global interest in Africa’s biggest football spectacle, with thousands of supporters already booking tickets ahead of the tournament.

CAF outlined that all travelling fans will need two key documents: a Fan ID and an e-visa. Both documents are necessary for entry into Morocco as well as access to the nine stadiums and designated Fan Areas that will host activities throughout the tournament. The governing body stressed that the Fan ID is compulsory for every match venue, ensuring proper identification and smooth crowd management during the month-long football event.

One of the major conveniences highlighted by the officials is the ability to apply for both documents—the Fan ID and the free e-visa—directly within the YALLA app. This integrated process, CAF explained, reduces delays, cuts down paperwork, and guarantees a more efficient system for both international visitors and Moroccan residents attending the games. With CAF announcing free e-visas now integrated into the app, fans can complete all requirements in one place without having to visit embassies or external websites.

To begin the process, supporters are encouraged to download the YALLA app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, or alternatively visit the official YALLA website. After accessing the platform, applicants will fill out the Fan ID form and, if necessary, submit their e-visa request. Once both approvals are granted, fans become eligible to purchase match tickets directly from CAF’s ticketing portal.

CAF emphasizes that these new measures were introduced to ensure a seamless and secure environment for everyone attending Africa’s premier football event. With matches set to take place across six cities and nine world-class stadiums, organisers are committed to delivering a top-tier experience that reflects the tournament’s stature on the global stage. The rollout of the free e-visa initiative is one of several strategic steps aimed at making AFCON Morocco 2025 one of the most accessible and fan-oriented editions ever hosted.

The tournament also carries huge significance for Morocco, which will be staging AFCON for the first time since 1988. Excitement continues to grow as football enthusiasts look forward to witnessing fierce continental rivalries, passionate supporters, and emerging African talents eager to prove themselves. A total of 24 national teams will compete for the coveted title, promising electrifying matches and unforgettable moments.

With CAF announcing free e-visas and simplifying travel logistics, the atmosphere surrounding AFCON Morocco 2025 is shaping up to be truly exceptional. Fans from all corners of the world are now better positioned to experience Africa’s premier football festival live in the heart of North Africa.
