A young woman has stirred intense reactions online after sharing a shocking story of how she got back at her cheating boyfriend in a way many have described as extreme and unsettling. The story, originally posted on Twitter, quickly gained attention as users debated the morality and consequences of her actions.

According to her narration, the relationship began on what seemed like a genuine note. She explained that she had just finished secondary school and was awaiting admission when she started dating a 200-level Computer Science student at the University of Lagos. At the time, she believed their relationship was built on love and trust, even going the extra mile to show her affection by cooking for him whenever she visited.

However, things took a turn when she discovered that he had been unfaithful. Rather than confronting him or expressing her anger in a direct way, she chose a different path—one she described as calculated and silent revenge.

In her words, she recounted:
‘I remembered one time I was dating this unilag guy a computer science 200lv student. I had just finished secondary school then and was waiting for admission. We really loved each other, so I thought until I found out he was cheating. He was the first and last guy I ever cooked for, out of love I used to cook noodles whenever I visited him.’

Instead of ending the relationship immediately, she devised a plan. She told him she wanted to spend a week at his place while her parents were away, which he agreed to. During that time, she claimed she deliberately avoided physical intimacy by telling him she was on her period.

What followed has left many social media users in disbelief. She alleged that every morning after he left for school, she would use his personal items—his toothbrush, sponge, and towel—in unsanitary ways before placing them back where he could use them unknowingly.

‘I didn’t fight him, I didn’t shout, I didn’t confront him… I continued doing that… He kept using his stuffs and got an infection in the mouth and skin disease… I went back to my house and broke up with him afterwards. He still didn’t know I was the one behind it. I was so happy and I’m still happy. No regrets.’

Mixed Reactions Online

The story has sparked widespread debate, with many condemning her actions as dangerous and harmful, while others argued that revenge should never escalate to causing physical harm. Some users pointed out that while cheating is wrong, intentionally exposing someone to infections crosses a serious line.

A Conversation on Boundaries and Consequences

Beyond the shock value, the incident has opened up conversations about how people handle betrayal in relationships. Experts and social commentators often stress the importance of walking away from toxic situations rather than resorting to harmful retaliation.

While the story continues to trend, it serves as a reminder that actions taken in anger can have lasting consequences—not just for others, but also for oneself.
