Popular Nigerian businessman and cryptocurrency entrepreneur Linus Williams, widely known as BLord, has stirred massive reactions online after opening up about his experience during his stay at Kuje prison.
The self-acclaimed billionaire made the revelation during a recent interview where he described his detention experience as surprisingly comfortable, claiming he stayed in the VIP section of the correctional facility meant for influential individuals.
According to BLord, his time in Kuje prison was nothing close to the harsh conditions many people imagine. Instead, he painted a picture of luxury and comfort, comparing the environment to a camp experience rather than a correctional facility.
In his words:
“In kuje it looks like NYSC camp, very big, they have a VIP section it’s meant for powerful people, and that was where BLord was kept.
“Is like a vacation, I went there a room with every appliances you can think of, I have a chef, everything I need as a human being is there.
“When VDM went to kuje he was kept where they keep people that carry b0mb and they bæt h3ll out of him.”
BLord Trolls VeryDarkMan
During the interview, BLord also took a swipe at controversial social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).
The businessman claimed that unlike his own experience in the VIP section, VDM allegedly stayed in a tougher part of the prison where dangerous suspects were kept and where inmates reportedly faced harsh treatment.
His comments immediately triggered debates online, with many social media users criticizing him for appearing too proud of his prison experience. Others argued that his statements reflected the inequality that exists within the Nigerian correctional system, where wealthy and influential individuals are allegedly treated differently from ordinary inmates.
Social Media Users React
As expected, Nigerians flooded social media platforms with mixed reactions shortly after clips from the interview surfaced online.
One user, @raphdion0303, wrote:
“I guess this dude has not learnt to keep quiet and focus on his company’s expansion. Anyways, life na brain Brain.”
Another user, @LyfAcrosBorders, stated:
“Dude sounding way too comfortable talking about prison. His mouth and actions will destroy him.”
A third commenter, @Ayofemmi, also reacted humorously, saying:
“Dis guy mouth ehnnn ….. person wey be like broom Comot prison now Dey tell us say nah vip him dem put am.”
The interview has continued to generate conversations across Nigerian social media, with many people questioning whether prison facilities should have “VIP sections” at all. While some viewers found BLord’s statements entertaining, others described them as insensitive and unnecessary.
