Alleged Elder Brother Backs Sister, Sparks Mixed Reactions Online

A fresh twist has emerged in the ongoing family controversy surrounding popular influencer GehGeh, as a man claiming to be his elder brother has publicly spoken out in support of their younger sister, further fueling conversations across social media.

In a trending video circulating online, the man introduced himself as the eldest sibling and explained why he decided to address the issue publicly.

In his words:
“Na me be GehGeh’s elder brother, na me senior all of them, and the reason why I dey make this video be say I wan clear the social media on my family matter wey dey trend online now.”

Backing his sister, he went on to describe her character while criticizing GehGeh’s behavior toward the family:
“First of all Precious na my younger sister, I know her very well, na good person. GehGeh na very useless boy, na bad person that boy be, he no want to help any of us.”

The alleged elder brother also addressed a past incident involving his health, where GehGeh reportedly paid for his surgery. While he acknowledged the act, he accused the influencer of publicizing it unnecessarily:
“He pay for my surgery when I dey sick, but he go dey announce am everywhere like say he do something wey never happen before.”

Earlier reports had revealed that GehGeh’s younger sister called him out online for allegedly neglecting the family despite his success, which sparked massive reactions across social media. The elder brother’s video now appears to reinforce her claims.

However, what surprised many viewers was how the video ended. The man made a public appeal to Nigerians for financial help, referencing the support his sister had received online:
“I see everything wey una do for my junior sister Precious online, I see the contribution wey una do for her, about ₦1M was raised and I am so happy for her. As an elder, I no fit go meet my junior sister tell am make she give me money. Na why I dey beg Nigerians, make una help me. As my brother dey wicked reach, he no dey care about family, I believe Nigerians go support me.”

This final statement has sparked mixed reactions, with many social media users questioning his intentions. While some sympathized with him, others found his appeal contradictory, especially given his strong criticism of GehGeh.

As the controversy continues to unfold, it raises broader conversations about family responsibility, public image, and the role social media plays in personal disputes.
